Eyebrow loss



Eyebrow loss might be due to genetics, overplucking, scarring, burns, laser hair removal, thinning or wearing piercing. Certain medical condition can also cause eyebrow loss such as:telogen effluvium, hypothyroidism and other hormonal changes as well as some skin diseases (eczema, alopetia areata, lupus). Medications that might cause eyebrow loss are : contraceptive pills, chemotherapy, aspirin. Herzog’s sign is loss of outer third of an eyebrow due to endocrine disbalance.
